UrbanV lays the foundations for a five-site vertiport network in São Paulo
UrbanV is leading the development of a five-site vertiport network across São Paulo, working in partnership with PAX Aeroportos, Helicenter/Ponte Aérea, and GL events to upgrade and integrate
existing aviation infrastructure and strategic venues. With institutional support from São Paulo Negócios | Prefeitura de São Paulo, and ENGIE serving as technical partner for the electrical assessment, the network is designed to enable quieter and more sustainable electric air taxi operations.
São Paulo, August 4, 2026 – UrbanV unveiled plans at LABACE 2026 for the development of the first vertiport network in Brazil, designed to support upcoming commercial eVTOL air taxi operations in São Paulo State, in partnership with leading Brazilian players.
As part of this process, UrbanV is working with local partners that own or operate the selected locations to assess and advance the development of the network:
- Campo de Marte Airport, in partnership with PAX Aeroportos;
- Alphaville Heliport (SJIW) and World Trade Center Hotel Sheraton Heliport (SDWT), in partnership with Helicenter / Ponte Aérea; and
- São Paulo Expo and Santos Convention Center, two strategic venues with existing heliport infrastructure, in partnership with GL events.
The initiative is institutionally supported by São Paulo Negócios | Prefeitura de São Paulo (City Hall), the investment promotion agency of the city of São Paulo, which will facilitate engagement with public stakeholders.
ENGIE energy solutions is the technical partner for the electrical assessment, evaluating the sites’ existing electrical infrastructure and grid connection capacity against the expected energy demand and charging requirements, and identifying and implementing solutions to enable eVTOL charging operations.
Together, these locations will create the initial operating footprint of UrbanV’s planned broader network in São Paulo, providing the infrastructure needed in step with the certification and entry-into-service timelines of the first eVTOL aircraft in Brazil, ensuring that ground infrastructure does not become a bottleneck for the sector's commercial launch.
By integrating major event venues into the planned network, the initiative positions next-generation mobility as a catalyst for more sustainable, innovative and connected access to key business and event hubs.
The programme builds on UrbanV’s ongoing collaboration with PAX Aeroportos at Campo de Marte as part of ANAC’s Advanced Air Mobility regulatory sandbox. The operational and regulatory insights generated at the airport will support the development of the broader São Paulo network and the future introduction of commercial eVTOL air taxi services in Brazil.
The initiative reflects the strong commitment of Brazilian authorities to enabling commercial AAM and creating the regulatory conditions for its safe and scalable deployment. ANAC is working to become the world’s first civil aviation authority to certify eVTOL aircraft while establishing the standards and guidelines needed for vertiport development. “We are working closely with the Brazilian industry to ensure our leadership in this sector. I am confident that Brazil has all the qualities needed to achieve this position on the global stage,” said Tiago Faierstein, Director-General of the Brazilian Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC).

The programme reflects UrbanV’s strategy of developing vertiport networks with established local
partners, combining its expertise in vertiport planning, development and operations with local infrastructure, capabilities and market knowledge.
