The UV-0 Test Vertiport is an open innovation hub, developed in partnership with Aeroporti di Roma, aimed at assisting industry partners in enhancing their solutions, ensuring compliance with future regulations, and enabling UrbanV to gain valuable operational experience in advance of our commercial launch.
What
The first test vertiport in Europe inaugurated in October 2022, right next to the complex airspace of a large international airport hub, aims to test processes, technologies, and scenarios to facilitate the rapid development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) for both "air taxi" and "cargo" operations.
Where
The UV-0 Vertiport is located in Rome adjacent to FCO airport. Additionally, the Test Vertiport is strategically located near the route that has been identified as the most significant in terms of demand, connecting the FCO passenger terminal to the city center of Rome.

Infrastructure
The UV-0 infrastructure is designed to accommodate diverse eVTOL configurations and adhere to the requirements set by EASA PTS-VPT, ensuring flexibility and compliance.

Inauguration of UV-0
In October 2022, at the “Vertiport Experience” event, UrbanV unveiled UV-0. At the event, Volocopter conducted the first crewed public test flight of an eVTOL in Italy.
